So I almost had a like 150 lb old rusty hot water heater thats a little shorter than I am fall on me....like 3 times today while trying to push it up steps while taking it out of the basement.

We tried to. But we don't have a drain or anything like that in our basement and we sat there for almost an hour draining the water out and it still wasn't empty....so we had to carry a water heater up stairs while it was still like 1/3rd filled with water pouring out of it.
